Stem Cells

Stem Cells are reminiscence of embryonic cells, which reside in adult bone marrow, fat and various other organ systems of the body and have the potential to differentiate/ turn into specialized cell types. These cells, under normal conditions, are primarily involved in local repair of damaged tissue during any disease process. However due to elusive reasons, in people with degenerative diseases they are not released adequately by the body or perhaps the damage is out of proportion for the local stem cell population to ensure the repair process.

 

The best way to counteract this stem cell deficit is to extract the stem cells from the sites such as bone marrow or Adipose tissue (in case of Autologous treatments) or from the umblical cord placenta (in case of Allogeneic treatments), harvest stem cells from the extract and ex-vivo expand their population if desired, and implant them into the system. This mode of stem cell delivery is called Super Selective Stem Cell Therapy Administration.

 

Transplantation of Stem Cells such as Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSC) has emerged as a potential treatment for various Chronic Inflammatory Diseases and degenerative disorders in animal model studies and in clinical trials. Disclaimer: Stem Cell Treatments are still being tested and are investigational therapies. Therefore it has not yet adopted into mainstream medicine.
